League of Legends = League of I KILL YOUR VIDEO CARD!

So, over the weekend my BF and I installed League of Legends. He has an extra computer over there that I use for gaming, and I was playing it for a bit before he installed it. I had 0 problems, and an ATI card, everything was running great.

He installs it on his computer, which has an Nvidia GTX 570. Game runs fine at first, but then it crashes and messes up his display driver, and his computer becomes unresponsive until it finally reaches the blue screen of death - related to his gfx driver not responding. He reboots and is pissed and takes a break.

About an hour later he comes back to the game and it crashes and his display flickers and he gets chain "your graphics card recovered from an error" messages over and over, until finally blue screen of death again.

So he logs back on his comp and uninstalls League of Legends cause hes absolutely raging at this point, but now his computer cant really do anything without having chain "graphics card recovered..." errors, so he attempts to do a clean install of new Nvidia drivers. It keeps crashing mid install until he tries a different version - which is successful. Hooraay right? NO, WRONG!

So after about 4 hours of messing around with all sorts of stuff - manually removing all the drivers, using a driver sweeper, etc etc, STILL we get the blue screen of death. God Damnit!

So he wipes his hard drive and after that sends a nasty message to Riot, which they respond with "its just your machine" in short.

Stupid me, I actually LIKE the game so I go home to my comp and install it, thinking it was just bad luck on his part. Guess what happens?!?!?!?!!?!?

Yea, everything above except my graphics card is FRIED. Yep, League of Legends FRIED my graphics card, its now serving as a paper weight. I can't even afford to buy a new one at this point so I'm stuck on my macbook until my boyfriend lends me his old 8800gts (so old, but better than nothing) I really like LoL though, and so my next card will be ATI since apparently it is immune to the LoL bugsplat of doom.
